We are staying informed from reliable sources including the Governor’s Office, Colorado Department of Education, Colorado School Board Association, Elbert County Health Department, Tri-County Health Department, Attorney’s Office and our School Nurse.
If and when the Coronavirus is detected within Colorado, keeping your child home when they have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath until the symptoms have subsided, will help decrease the spread of the virus.
Hand washing education and hand sanitizer usage is appropriate.
Our custodians are doing a good job keeping our school clean. We recently had a health inspector inspect our school and we did not get written up on anything. The cleaning products we are using kill and disinfect what needs to be taken care of.
We have restrooms throughout the school stocked with soap as well as having sanitizers within the schools. Our kitchen is kept very clean and if the dishwasher was any hotter, it would be breaking the plates.
