Big Sandy School Families:
With eight weeks of school left our students will be having several assessments to complete.
SAT and PSAT
Our juniors will be taking the SAT and our freshmen and sophomores will be taking the PSAT on the morning of Tuesday, April 13th.
CMAS
Our 3rd – 8th graders will complete CMAS assessments during a 3-week window starting April 15th and concluding April 30.
3rd, 5th, and 7th graders will be taking the English Language Arts assessments (3 each) and the 4th, 6th, and 8th graders will be taking the Math assessments (3 each). The 8th graders will also complete the Science assessment (3 each).
MAPS
Three times during the year, our 3rd-10th grade students also take the MAPS assessments which are used by teachers in delivering instruction and to gauge student growth during the school year.
Additional Assessments Opt-In
If anyone has not had enough testing, parents can opt their students in for additional CMAS assessments. If you are interested in doing so please contact our school’s District Assessment Coordinator, Chad Thieman or call him at 541-2291.
