The Foodbank of Kiowa Creek Community Church has partnered with Simla Family Thrift Store to bring their mobile Pop-Up pantry to Simla on July 11, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Through partnership with the Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR), grants and donations, the Foodbank of Kiowa Creek Community Church has, just in April and May of this year, provided needed food and household supplies to 170 families (350 household members) in need within Elbert County through its foodbank programs.

The Foodbank of KCCC has made a commitment to purchasing food for distribution directly from Colorado Producers who have also been impacted by recent events.

No Sign Up or Income Verification Required

The foodbank pantry is open to all.

The majority of  The Foodbank of KCCC offerings are available to anyone in need (no disclosure required), whether due to short-term emergency in face of unexpected events, such as medical bills, house or vehicle repairs or for longer support needed due to loss of income, life events or illness.

They also provide additional access to The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) of USDA with a self-disclosed verification of income and family size for qualification.  Disclosure of family members names, dates of birth and family combined income is held confidentially and not shared.
