The Big Sandy School District 100-J declared a vacancy on the School Board, October 5, 2022.
Vacancy for one seat for one-year term
One seat for Director will be appointed for One-Year, finishing out the current term.
Normally scheduled board elections will then be held in November of 2023.
Requirements
Requirements for an appointee are that the person must have an interest in serving on the school board and be a resident and registered voter of the school district for at least the last 12 consecutive months.
No person who has been convicted of a sexual offense against a child is eligible to serve on the school board.

Interested persons should send a letter of interest and qualifications to Big Sandy School District 100-J, PO Box 68, Simla, CO 80835 or drop it off at the administration office. For more details, please contact Danni Hankins or Steve Wilson.
Letters of interest need to be received on or before October 28, 2022.
Those that submit letters of interest shall be considered for appointment in November 2022.
